Thanks to Wikidot, we've already organized one of those. It was everything we'd hoped for.
Personnaly, I don't like pagination be on Wikidot sites or elsewhere on the net. For example, I cannot search for "gerdami" on a forum with Ctrl-F and simply type F3 for next hit.
Anyway, thanks for those who like this behaviour.
In the UK Midlands here. On Friday I came home at midnight in driving snow on the one lane of the motorway that was clear. It was finally enough to cover the grass. Then I woke up on Saturday morning and it had all gone. We don't do snow tires here.
Regarding pagination of threads, I think it only makes sense if all the replies are appended to the end of the thread, and there should be a way to turn it off, maybe even when viewing the page.
A big thumbs-up for the XMLAPI work. Please,, please, please make files.save-one a priority; it's the only thing stopping me building a very powerful site-cloner and finishing my CSS-generator.
I like the pagination, but maybe it would be useful to have the possibility to switch it on or off, and to decide how many posts per page one wants to see…
As far as I am concerned, a big thanks for the Cyrillic 3D tagcloud! :) I really do appreciate.
(After reading all your snowy posts, I almost feel guilty being here, at 22ºC, without even the necessity to turn the heater on… :P I just hope it'll go on like this through the whole winter… I hate being cold and frozen…)

What's this? I would appreciate an explanation, because maybe I also need it, and I still don't know! :)

It's been pouring down here lately… half the ocean's been tipped onto Australia ;-) Flooding in many areas. We even got hail the other day!
No snow of course, there never is down here. Only see the stuff in pictures and movies.

It's the Developer API, where you can write a program on your PC to read and write Wikidot pages. At the moment you can do lots, but you still can not upload a file to Wikidot. Without that My CSS generator requires an awkward manual step to upload all the background images.
Similarly it would be nice to have a smart cloner, so instead of having to choose a single feature to clone when creating a new site, we could pick and mix several features. Or we could backup and restore a site.

Hey Brunhilda, it's what STE uses to connect to Wikidot. Without the XML-RPC API, it wouldn't be able to import/export pages or preview them! :)

Thanks, Leiger! Thanks Rurwin, too, but unfortunately, I didn't understand much — I need as simple explanation as possible (it's obvious leiger already knows how mi mind works… :P)
I think I wouldn't need it… My knowledge is not so advanced… :P

Well if you wish to learn how to use it, then you can learn. Otherwise you don't need to worry about it :)
Basically, it's something that Wikidot has installed… Rurwin and I (and others) can talk to it and tell it what we want it to do, and it basically looks at Wikidot's servers and sends us back the info we want (e.g. sends back a Wikidot page , or maybe it will create a page if we tell it to).
^^ Really simplified explanation :)

In other forum software, it is often a user's choice, notably on the order "the most recent first" or "the oldest one".
As owner of the site you can choose which order comments are displayed in.
This doesn't apply to the actual forum though, and users can't choose their own ordering method.
