I like the idea. I'll help how I can.
This is probably a good time to mention a related initiative. Last month I started the planning of a commercial online magazine called Wiki Magazine, which will be a downloadable and, in due course, a print magazine bringing news, articles, features about the wiki world. As far as I can see there is no magazine catering to this market. It will focus mainly on Wikidot initially but I do aim to expand it to cover other wiki products, news and services. A week or so back Peter gave the idea his support and I am preparing a business plan, but I'm not yet sure whether this new initiative from Pieter will make the magazine redundant. I hope not as it will aim to be independent and will also be advertised wider than purely than within wikidot, but we will see. The main url will be http://www.wikimagazine.co.uk but it is also at http://wikimagazine.wikidot.com where a test first cover has been put up. I will also be asking for articles (though ones for me are likely to attract payment) so I hope the two initiatives don't trip up over each other. I have to confess to being slightly miffed that within a few days of telling Pieter of my proposal that this new site should suddenly appear. I had not planned to announce the magazine just yet, perhaps I should have done so a week ago. But Pieter assures me there is room for both.
