The real magic there came from James. Helmuti got it functioning and then Kanjo made it purr beyond anything I had imagined.
You should embed a poll in a post Pieter. Like so:
Just so the reading audience knows, the embed code automagically generated for every poll, you just have to copy the generated URL into the provided embed iframe. It's now such you can embed it anywhere that will embed html iframe.
Love this! I have been dying for a good Poll App for the wiki. This is really nice…Great work!

gerdami has right - we should copy this on the "package" site
Edit: sorry, I see now the link to the little poll apllikation on the blog text itself….

@Helmut
We made the handbook "petit-à-petit", we sometimes forgot how we did it.
Then when it is about to make a package of it, you must think "as easy to implement as possible". Good luck.
Yes. This is absolutely amazing.

for "standard" users of wikidot.
the experience I made with this maximum-solution - this is for my standardd members of my wikis not so easy to understand how to build a non-entry mini frame for the direct embeddable ratings of a page / polloptions…
Not to talk about "editing" of a polloption with un-editale pages… :)
( You need to switch off the customized theme for the polloptios-category..)
I will go back a littrle step and copy it to a solution without CSS-usages, with a little content for every poll-options and very clear and understandable usage of "category" ," tags" and "ratings" ( and perhaps "comments".
This is not sooo perfect in the embed-possibilities and showing it in a forum-post ( why-not, I have to think about a standard-mini-frame-no-entry-page with extra CSS like this and than - I have to stop me ! , I go the same way again!.
But this is easy to use and install and maintain.
A wikidot standard page/Link/tags usage. - as David had his first dream.
I will call the categoreies - "littlepoll:" ( for the different polls) and "littlepolloptions:" ( for the related questions)..
Please - wait a little …

What happened to this poll app? It does not appear to work anymore.
It can be found here: http://polls.wikidot.com/
I'll update the post.
Edit: The only problem is that you can't restrict it to being one choice only :( People can vote for everything if they want.

I was going to use one of these on my wiki but the text does not show up on a black background. since you can't alter the text color through the iframe command I'm at a loss as to how to use this on my wiki since it's using a black background with greyish text on it's pages.
