Today Piotr (also known as Gabrys) starts his new job at Allegro.pl, the largest auction website in Poland, with headquarters in PoznaĆ. Unfortunately for us it also means he is leaving Wikidot, which is now official.
Piotr has been working with the Wikidot project almost from its beginning, being our very first part-time employee, and for the last year working full time in our core team, mostly developing software and managing server architecture, but also actively participating in the Wikidot community.
Working with Piotr was a great experience, both professionally and socially. He brought a lot of innovation, fresh air and open-minded, brain-storming ideas to the team. And it was fun too.
Piotr, good luck with your new job! It was a great time, and I hope that your new job would be as challenging and satisfying as working with us.
I guess we've all taken you for granted1, Piotr, for we never imagined the future of Wikidot without you.
Good luck Piotr, though you will be sorely missed, your foundations in Wikidot will certainly keep us going. I'm sure you'll outperform with any programming business you work with.
To expect something to be available all the time and forget that you are lucky to have it
I second that. Sad to see you leave the Wikidot team, but I wish you the best at your new job and hope that they appreciate your work.
Thank you in particular for all of the work you have done with the Wikidot XML-RPC API, and the hours you have spent with me trying to troubleshoot the corporate proxy issue.
All the best for the future!

I'll be sad to see you go.
Just seeing this blog and your greetings (have been busy with moving my stuff and life to a new place)… Thank you very much for those! It was a great pleasure working with you - team and community.
Cheers!

While I'm very sad to see you go, I wish you nothing but the best in your professional and personal life. It was your talents and willingness to work with me directly to get my WDOS project off the ground that made me one of Wikidot's greatest supporters.
Be sure to pop in and say "Hi" once in a while and let us know how your new career is going.
