Two Three changes regarding the toolbars:
Ed Johnson, James Kanjo and several other people have written to me to point out that it's trivial to hide the toolbars with CSS. As Ed explains,
Some people have asked how we choose which sites to display on that annoying but actually very useful bottom toolbar. If you want to know how useful, go to your web statistics and check traffic over the last day. You'll see a hundred or so extra visitors each day.
Yesterday we launched the new toolbars for free sites, to a mixed reaction. Today we'll be pushing out a thinner top toolbar as suggested by many of you, and looking at reducing the size of the bottom toolbar as well.
If you're getting display problems with the new toolbars (top or bottom) on your custom CSS layout, tell us about it here and we will help you fix them immediately. Post the web site address, and a short description of the problem, thanks. We'll monitor this thread and respond as rapidly as possible.
